I created: Guestbook and own "web page"

I've created a Guestbook feature + the ability for the users to create their own webpage on their profile page.

Here is a life version: (my own profile)

On the Admin page for the guestbook there is:
On / Off (to simply use the guestbook, or not)
Left / Right / Bottom (placement of the guestbook on the profile page)

Webpage-admin:
Simply Name, Description and Textarea. HTML is allowed...

Would love to receive some feedback.

ps. page is in Swedish but you should get the idea of how it works anyway.

The code is probably a bit clumsy and rough in some areas but alteast it works. I had an issue with $userid and $u for the members page sometimes changing value mid page so I've used a DEFINE to ensure the member page userid is kept all through the page's scripts.

If you are interested in me releasing this hack for everyone, let me know and I'll try and sum it all up into a text file (a "installation guide") as it involved creating two new templates, modifying an existing one and some hacking of the code in profile.php and member.php.

I've felt no "slow down" since creating this hack... and I've tried to make it as fast loading as I possible can with my PHP / MySQL knowledge.

Sorry guys! Been a little busy. I'm gonna sit down and work on it a little bit right now to improve the way the administrator of the site can Admin the general layout of it and also to turn it on and off through the Admin area.

No. I think those that take the time to add improvements should be compensated in some way. it's got nothing to do with YOUR wallet. It's about showing support and appreciation for those that improve my community with additional add ons and modifications.

No, sorry not japanese :p but I know it. I'm chinese actually and I know a little bit of korean and japanese in a mix.

It just has the website portion of it where the user gets to use HTML and there's also a script to strip javascript and location= etc. from the HTML in case the user tries to do something funny

Okay, i think I'm abusing the english language. Sorry moderators. Swedish people always include a certain amount of faul language in their conversations, or we're not cool enough. err, okay. =)

I want to update you all and say that it's going along nicely, but this whole thing with releasing it has made this be a lot more work then I ever expected.. I've been lurking around through vB's scripts and taking use of the built in features to speed up my own scripts as they were in the beginning pretty much all independent, hence more unnecassary queries / loading time.

I'm possibly also going add a "buddy list" feature that allows the owner of the profile page to sort his buddies and also see if they're online quick and easy. Is this also of interest? It's not that big of a script, but it'll make the release of this addon for vB a bit delayed further more.

I've had nothing but good feedback from my users so far.

About that ... I've created my own Photo Gallery for my website. It allows users to upload pictures of their motorcycles (that's what the site is about). I've connected my Classifieds / Ads system (also created this myself):

with my photo gallery. Check it out. This is also a very neat little ad system that connects with vBulletin's database.

Right now, members would have to link to their own private websites where they store their pictures, unless... you have it like I have it... they can upload to the photo gallery I have and link to them there. there's a thumbnail picture created so if they're smart they don't do an <img > tag to the large pic and make the page load real slow.

Gotta think if this is somethng I should add for this script, the ability to upload pictures (limited to say 5 pictures per user webpage). hmm
