A lot of hacks carry this: -
The Author(s) agreed to give support for this modification!

But there is no support given by author for months, so isnt its desirable to remove that title ??
Its just a question, feedback to site authors :)

I have always given support to my hacks, as have many others are you referring to a specific post?

Hmm, from what i see, most of them are giving support if they clicked on that.

But support doesn't mean to help on writing extensions or additions to a hack.
Support means, if there's a problem with the hack itself the author will help as far as he can.
Most of the authors also help on changes of the hack, even if they don't need to.

Of course there might be also those, who have clicked on that once, but now got inactive, and therefore forgot to remove it again...

My personal opinion would be removing this feature altogether. It is not mandatory for a hack author to give support so what's the point of asking this to him while he is releasing an hack?

I always check "no support" for my own hacks, but still I do my best to support them. There are authors who choose to give support but in the future they became busy and don't give support. So what's the point of this remark anyway? ^^

and, for what i see, 75% of the threads related to new hacks are filled by other coders helping each other, so that reference is not quite good/usefull...

when support is possible on a hack, most of the time, the author OR some other coder will help...

i do my best to support my hacks but of course i get busy and finding time to fix things after say the first 4 months of release gets hard since kind of at least in my mind the hack is now fixed to its optimum and is sort of becoming outdated:) anyways i believe all coders give support really but we get busy and sometimes we just forget to check back in the thread, thats y i always create a support forum on my site since im on my own since a little more than this one:)
