hello question on avators

the avators on 3.0.3...several questions

they are left of the person sign on name

how do i put them under the screen name instead

also how do i add mods to the side of each forum..

also im not seeming to get the smilie thingy right no mattwe how hard we try

we firued out how to replace the smilies next to the post but no matter what we do with fpt and server and all we cant make the folder come to the and work on the board..for the more smilies...

i tried to activate rep but it not showing....told ya i had tons of question..hehe figured i get them all at once

and what is the code and place to put the code to color the staff names with in user names

1. If you want the postbit like its displayed here on vb.org rather than how it is on vb.com, go into your admin panel and under the setting somewhere is an option to use legacy style, click yes

** any mods you do will now edit the postbit_legacy template even if it says postbit

If thats not is and you simply want to move the avatar itself, then edit your postbit (or postbit legacy) template and move the variable where you want it... its html really.

2. Not sure what you mean by mods

3. Not sure what your doing wrong here. Upload the smilies via ftp and play around with teh option in the smilie catagory of the admincp

4. Go to the upgroup manager and select the usergroup you wish to edit (mods, admins, etc) ... near the top you will see a place wher eyou can enter html markup for the usernames. Just enter the html to change the color to what you awnt your mods to be.

i dont know the html..:( for any of that...or do..but brain is fried after all this..and to think i want hacks after im actually truely set up

as for the smilies..i dont know i uploaded them..put them in the forum html smilie
but i cant make the non generic ones..the ones that pop up in another window..

i think my board has taken a disliking to me..lol

i dont see an option anyplace in the ADMIN area
like wher eit says my user name and under it says member and then under that people have there avators..i have it with picture to the left and name to the right and i cant find the place to change that...:( i just went through the back and dont see a place to change that at all..:(

Your posts are confusing to read so its hard to really understand you and offer help.

The templates are general HTML, if your not familiar with that, then you will need to brush up on at least the basics if you plan to alter the templates. Its not hard to understand once you get the basic hang of it.

AS for the smilies, you need to go into the smilie manager and ADD the smilie there. Once you add it there, it will show up on the pop up box.

ok going to try and do the smilies..i was getting x's that was why

ok my avator on the left of the post with name area..that on my forum is on top with avator area to the left and name to the right

how wouldi bring that so its name on top and avator on the botton...i see it on all the boards..mine on top inside of on the left side...

i hope uunderstand that one...
