Sounds like you removed he login.php file from your cp. Try uploading it again and that should fix it.
ok we re-uploaded the login.php and we got this
"There seems to have been a slight problem with the database.
Please try again by pressing the refresh button in your browser.
An E-Mail has been dispatched to our Technical Staff, who you can also contact if the problem persists.
We apologise for any inconvenience."
At this point would it be easier to get the server to reset every thing and start over?

Did you get an email to address you specified in the config.php?
If so, copy the error message into this thread.
Sometimes it's easier to just do everything again from the beginning, but other times it's a waste of time, because one has just forgot something tiny... can't really say which is the case here :)
If you did not get the email reproduce the error and view the source html of the page, paste the contents here.
Also you might want to post a thread at the offical support forum, here (http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=58).

we have not yet recieved an email... odd I requested support from my host as well they should have written back by now... oh well. ANY Ways. If I were to post what the login.php says would you be able to tell me what's wrong with it?

Thanks! I'll try there as well. Is this what you mean by source html?

Double check your user name for the database access. It usually doesn't have a format like that, example: user name@database name<--incorrect; user name_database name<--correct.
BTW- Yes, you did edit after I had posted. :)
did that and now have this..:( im losing hope:(
Step 2) Connect to the database
Attempting to attach to database
Warning: mysql_errno(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL-Link resource in /var/www/html/upload/includes/db_mysql.php on line 140
The database has failed to connect because you do not have permission to connect to the server. Please confirm the values entered in the 'includes/config.php' file.

make sure all the values in your config.php are right.
then, go into cPanel and make sure that you have a database and a user set up, and also make sure that the user is added to the database.

lol I checked all that. I attempted to confirm with my host that I have the correct information and they simply told me to look at the welcom leter (where I origianlly got the information from) and on the admin cp (also where I'd gotten that info) tripple checked it, didn't do any good.
ok don't laugh too hard.... I had a space in the ' localhost'
