I am recreating a hack here on vb.org into vBug Tracker with alot more functionality and stability as I desperately needed a bug tracking system. This hack has been rewritten from ground up and mimics the "Bug Tracker" on vb.com. If enough people are interested I will write an installer for it with instructions and release it here on vb.org.
You can view the current progress here (http://www.vbwar.com/forums/vbugs.php). You will need to either register to see it (as it is based on usergroup permissions) or you can use the following account:

It would be great if you released it here. The current bug trackers have some limitations that, it seems, your application will overcome.
Can I make a few suggestions?

and, um, OH I KNOW!...

We often release updated files in order to fix a bug that was reported. It would be great if we could just attach them to the bug report, otherwise we need to first upload the file to a specific location, and then link to it in the bug report.
Not to make things complicated (although I usually do :) ), a user's security level should be considered when downloading the attachments. Only users that are in a certain group should be allowed to download attachments.
To date we've been using a separate forum to post bugs, and we make a new thread for each bug. The title of which is usually something like:
[v1.0.0] Image manipulation feature fails on GD version "1.6.2 or higher" We can then just use the file attachment properties of vB. We'd much rather use an actual bug tracker, but the file attachment requirement is something we can't do without.

The installer is currently being tested and a release will be soon. What sets this apart from the other hacks is that it mimics the "Bug Tracker" on vb.com in every detail plus has the following features:
* Auto Detects the MySQL version and sets the search accordingly.
* Bug Moderation (set in the vBug Settings).
* Private Bugs (feature the admins would love).
* Subscribe feature that emails you when someone responds to a bug you submitted or one you are following.
* Permissions set by Usergroup (Add, View & Admin).
* Some Admin features are accessible from the front end so they don't have to go into the admincp every time.
Here are a few screenshots for your review...enjoy!

Attachments and Multiple Projects are slated for the Pro version which will not be available here.
