View Full Version : New Features Upon User Registration?

If someone, somewhere, could be able to code the following features into a vBulletin hack, I would be completely envious of you and your abilites(as well as your donation of personal time and efforts)...

1. New user is given a sub-domain upon registration(ie - used as another URL to view the MEMBERINFO template/page).
2. New user is given an e-mail based on the domain the vBulletin is hosted on(ie - an e-mail account based on their username is automatically created with the same password as their vBulletin acccount).
3. The MEMBERINFO template is transformed into a "portal" for a registered member's personal page. This could include a journal inclusion(maybe based on AN-Net's to be released Journal hack) of the most recent entry, links to attachments, comments for each user posted by other members directly into the MEMBERINFO template, links to most recent gallery submissions(integrations with several galleries would be time consuming, but maybe just for one or two for the first release), and anything else anyone can suggest about adding to a "personal" page with very detailed information. All this in addition to everything else that is already on the MEMBERINFO template.

A small list, but large hacks I am sure. If it's possible, it would be to-die-for, and if it's not, then I guess it's just something to look forward to when someone comes along with the time and knowledge to get it done! ;)

This would be a cool hack.

Too bad no one is really giving any input or time to this one. If I were a coder, I would surely make an attempt at it, but seeing as I know nothing about creating a hack, all I can really do is make some good suggestions as to what could be created by a learned coder/programmer. Hope at least someone gives a hint about making working on something like this in the future... :)
