With vb3.0.3 it's possible for a user to register multiple accounts using multiple email addresses but all from the same IP. In addition a users IP isnt' even stored until they've posted. So someone can sign up for aacount after account after account from the same IP (provided the email's used are differnt) and if they never post, they have a great chance of getting away with it. I don't know why the IP isn't grabbed at registration or why there is no option to disallow multiple accounts from the same IP.
I really need a way to disallow multiple registrations from the same IP.
Please, please, please someone consider making this tiny hack.
Thanks.

um yes it is;)
in admincp edit a user and it will display their ip:)
you can also use the function to see all ips used by a user and any other users using the same ip:D dont doubt the standard vb;)

Yeah, you are correct, it will display their IP in the user options. But searching for matching IPs results in a big fat Ø unless the user has posted. Heck, even searching IPs for a specific user's IP turns up Ø unless they have posted. So I can have 15 accounts with the same IP and unless they post, the search won't pick up on it. The search doesn't query the user IPs it queries post IPs.
I need to search all IPs. Regardless of whether a user accoutn has posted or not.
Actually I need to disallow registration if the IP already has an account.

I assume you're referring to the duplicate ip/password hack.. which is for VB2 not VB3. I did search.
