Thumbnails in forumdisplay

Can someone tell me how this is done:

Basically I'm looking for the same thing. A way to take the image that is attached to the first post in a thread and autothumbnail it and display it on the forum display list.

I see this is done on a vb3 in the case above, but is it possible to do on a vb2?

Did anyone ever post a solution for this? This example roxics gives shows exactly what I am looking for. I have searched this board for a while but have not found any solutions. Any help will be greatly aprreciated. TIA :)

I know it's been almost a year since I first asked this. I know have a VB3 if that helps. Hopefully someone has a solution by now.
