could we set up something simple in a template or file where it specifies who to send the email or pm to and just add a line that commands also to send to a specified administrators address?

i would like it..
but i think it would be cool to have an admincp page where, you could put the username in you want to log pm's, because i would hate to have to create a whole new usergroup.. *pain in the ass*

Jake Bunce over at VB.com says it would be the Functions.php file in the includes folder that would need to be modified. we would have to simply add in a command that is username and email specific to tell where else to send the message besides the selected recipient. I cant tell where in the file to do it though. Can someone help us out with this?

I find it hard to believe no one else is interested in this?

Seems like a bit of overkill to me, just IMHO though. I could see on a larger board this taking up quite a bit of database room.

i found the area of code, but dont know what to add....look under vb_sent_email or something of that nature.
Also, what about a hack that will just email all pm's and emails to a certain address instead of holding it in the database?

thats what i was thinking to. just have them sent to the admin email and pm folders to be reviewed and deleted or saved. I'm not really looking for anything to store all of the data permanatley

There was something similar to this for vBulletin 2

an area that might be a problem with forwarding pm's to another account is if the sender request a read reciept, not sure what problems that might cause?
