Self-Promotion Allowed?

I know that "self-promotion" is not allowed here (on any post); but does this include hacks made available by authors?

For example, placing a "promotional text" within the hack instructions (downloadable file--not posted).

No, I'm not referring to any particular hack ... I'm just curious (for my own hacks).

Well we have no specific rule regarding this. It'll have to be clarified when the admins get back. My personal opinion on it would be if you're kind enough to share your free work I see no harm in you placing a little bit of text saying. "If you want some coding email me (email link here)". However, we'll have to clarify it with the admins when they're back :)
