I looked at the Vbulletin demo and a few websites using Vbulletin already. My question is how do you as a Admin or Moderator know when new posts are happening? Other than using the Quick links to new posts? Or notify by email.
I ask this as I use Invision Powerboard but I currently have become quite interested in Vbulletin by the apparent availability of cool hacks and skins available.
But I want to be able to see when I'm on the board when someone posts to a thread or makes a new topic so I can instantly or one of the moderators can instantly go look and respond. I see that they have a notify this person by email but I don't want to have to keep my email client open the entire day so I can see if some is posting or not. I see that they have moderate the posts for approval but nothing along the lines of moderate this forum by notifying this person/s by popup, pm, or whatever.
IF this exists and I just don't see it please let me know.
Basically I like this feature in Invision Power Board and I don't want to give it up or the money for Vbulletin if it doesn't have anything that makes responding to posts fast and easy. So is there a hack or something that does this? Or something in VB I don't know about and the people at Vbulletin pre-sales couldn't tell me about?
Thanks,
Mav
