i noticed when i click the attached image in a release or whatever on this site, a new window is not popping up anymore for me to view the image, it is just loading on the same window.
this a setting in the user cpane or something? maybe on the computer?? this has done this to me on 2 pc's so far.

Nope, that's vb default since 3.0.2
You might want to ask over at vb.com why this was changed, as i have no idea myself ;)

That was recently changed in the default templates. You can add it back in by going to your:
Admin CP -> Styles & Templates -> Style Manager -> ? ? -> Postbit Templates -> postbit_attachmentthumbnail
Add the red code:
<a href="attachment.php?$session[sessionurl]attachmentid=$attachment[attachmentid]" target="_blank"><img class="thumbnail" src="attachment.php?$session[sessionurl]attachmentid=$attachment[attachmentid]&stc=1&thumb=1" border="0" alt="<phrase 1="$attachment[filename]" 2="$attachment[counter]" 3="$attachment[filesize]">$vbphrase[image_larger_version_x_y_z]</phrase>" /></a>

I'm not bothered either way ;) I always open all links in a new tab :p

It was changed because the old way was not xhtml friendly.

I would like it changed also, everytime i view a SS shot, i never remember to open in a new tab and i close it and then close the site. Then have to find the thread again. PIMA.

rofl ^^
actually i got used to it, and like the new way.
clicking on the back button is as fast as clicking on the x, and if you want to open it seperatley, it's possible with an rightclick as well iirc?

I'd rather click once and have it open in a new tab rather than having to right click and find "Open in New Tab":)
