From what I heard while browsing through other threads is that the coding is screwed up, that it runs too many queries which can cause your host to kick you out. Has anyone made it with less queries, or does the hack above have less queries?
And I want to know from people who have used this hack if it's good or has many problems.

I have it running on my site. After some major modifications to a few query lines, loading up the itemshop.php generates about 41-45 queries. Items listed in the postbit through an entire thread generates 22 queries max (for showthread.php). No complaints from my host, ever.

I'd love to see it ported to vB3.

good god, that is tOOO many querys, your site cannot be that active if no one has complained.

I think we (Geeky Designs) have some sort of plan for an item like shop for a future system. :) but when is another question

No, I suppose it's not. About 12-30 people on average and remember, not everyone goes into the itemshop either. It's my only reason for not going to vB3 since many of the users enjoy purchasing items and there's nothing like Vivi's Itemshop for vB3.
