http://www.miyechi.com

Still in MASSIVE beta mode. Some links don't work yet, the images are definately not final, and there are still a few bugs but I wanted to present this so I could get some feedback before I do make it final :nervous:

My site has been down for over a year (waiting for this and that). And now, I have no idea how to start getting members to join again, or to get my site back to where it was (thousands of hits per day again, hopefully more)

I still have to add a lot, but any ANY ANY advice will be definately DEFINATELY appreciated! Thanks :)

very nice, you make the style?

Koutaru

But of course :D

Oh yes, and if there's any problems with browsers please let me know .. as in.. I .. was.. "unable" [too lazy] to check the compatibility

Nothing wrong with ie.

IMO untill the links are working for some things, dont like them, like world.php :)

The links at the very top are rather small.

The vBulletin Copyright is missing the dates.

[nod] I'll fix those right now, actually I can't really fix the links but I'll try to think of .. an alternative if I can. hmmm

I suppose I shouldn't link them until I have them up eh? :P

Everything looks good now :)

Only thing I don't like are the links like Zachery said - way too small. I'd pity anyone running a higher resolution than me. ;)

Everything else looks good. :D

Hmm :D Didn't really think about higher resolutions while I was making it, sadly.
Now I'm not too sure what to do with the links on the top. They're very important but I have no where else to cram them. Unless I make them bigger, but I'm not too sure whether it would look good.. (too big)

Any suggestions would be great :nervous:

If you want a solutiuon for those links, try the following:

Add to each link you want disabled, (within the href)onclick="return false" whilch will retain all the info for the link, but the link will do nothing when clicked...

Nice! Yes, I was very reluctant to remove all the present links because that means ill have to edit my settings for each one.

Thanks :)

Hmm what browser are you using? it looks fine to me, I really can't tell at least ?_?
:D would you be so kind to take a screenshot? Maybe I'll download the browser for myself

The RPG system is by Zero Tolerance :) He's an awesome coder.. I can't imagine how he got everything together like this o_O

Thanks :D

Hmm I'm using the same but don't get that. Very strange. Actually, I think I know why.. :D It'll take me like 2 minutes to fix

My default $$ (Y) seems to be too much. Even though it should be font=1, but it seems bigger in your screenshot

I fixed it. I hope it works. (I just reduced the number) >.> :surprised:

it works, oh design master;)

Koutaru
07-04-2004, 06:46 PM
:D Yay. That's weird, because the html specifically says font size="1" but its showing up bigger. Oh wells.

is miyechi down?

Koutaru
07-13-2004, 05:09 AM
Yeah it was down due to DN's server move but it should be back up..

It's so hard getting the new members to post o_O there must be some kinda trick or hints somewhere that will help me somehow. How in the world am I supposed to get them to post?

Andreas
07-13-2004, 06:24 AM
Should it look like that?

Koutaru
07-14-2004, 06:03 PM
Hmmm no. I thought I fixed that o_O i guess not.
Kirby, could you take a picture of the entire layout so I can see what might be setting it off?

Andreas
07-14-2004, 06:44 PM
Sure, here you are.

Btw: The site does take god damn long to load, although I've got 1MBit DSL o.O

Koutaru
07-15-2004, 03:09 AM
Thanks Kirby :)

Hmm that is so incredibly weird. And the loading thing I think is the server's fault. It used to load faster but the server load has been high these couple of days -.-; and it's annoying.

What browser are you using? I can see what's setting it off, sort of. If it's not the length of the search, I'll have to look deeper into it :/

Andreas

Firefox 0.9.1

Koutaru
07-15-2004, 02:35 PM
The "go" button is slightly wider than the "go" button in IE and I think it's not fitting, I reduced the search input text to 22, hopefully it'll fit o_O It looks kinda awkward on IE now but I have no real other solution for it.

If that didn't fix it then I'll probably have to download the browser ^^;

Just a heads up; the loading bar doesn't change number status (only the bar moves) on firefox... Not sure about IE...

The search bar is fixed though.

Koutaru
07-16-2004, 05:46 PM
:/ It's the same on IE, I might have to just take out the number status and just leave the bar. Not too big of a loss

Andreas
07-16-2004, 05:52 PM
Does look OK now (but still takes ages to load ...)

Kirby it's probbaly your internet connection;

The style is very heavy.

Koutaru
07-17-2004, 03:23 AM
Yeah it is heavy ^^ sorry, I'm sort of a design freak. I'm planning to make a lite version as soon as the rest of the content is up

Koutaru
03-31-2005, 03:18 PM
Can I bump this for an update? It's not all THAT much different but it has so much more content than before. Just the index page is different.

Any help or comments/advice is really appreciated :)

Unforutately, I would have no where to start since I don't have any of those browsers. Could you tell me what section (news, sidebar, header, etc) exactly is not right about the index page?

just a question where does your news come from, i dont see a forum for it so im guessing a feed?

Koutaru
03-31-2005, 08:43 PM
Which news? The anime ones?

The news system is completely independent of the forums actually unless specified (there is an option to create a thread)

i can make a screen shot in a bit, well actually tomorrow if you remind me ^^

Thank you! That would be great :) I'll try to remind you aka bug you about it then

Koutaru
04-04-2005, 09:28 PM
Any updates on that screen shot? ;)

Also we've added character creation to the site in the recent days including equipping items to your character and it affecting that character's image.

Trying to compete with Gaia.. eventually... if ever.

oh yeah i forgot here is what it looks like ^^;; sorry.

its going from me hitting page down all the way down the main page

Koutaru

Ouch, the announcements are what's really messed up and I think I know why. I guess mac doesn't handle width="100%" well eh?

eva01_
04-05-2005, 01:49 AM
shoutbox as well.

For Safari everything has to be 100% perfect for it to display perfectly

also the announcements begin to work after a while (the scrolling ones) i have to stop opening the page because of the top sites at the bottom, which is also messed up on safari

Koutaru
04-06-2005, 08:51 PM
Hmm I'll probably have to download Safari and get everything XHTML right ^^; Thanks for your help!

Sadly Julie :p Safari is a OSX only program. You'd be better off trying to get Konquer running in windows, or find a windows KHTML browser...

eva01_

or the better thing, buy a Mac

Koutaru

... I really wanted a Mac before this :p for college but now.. eh. Very picky.

eva01_
04-09-2005, 01:21 AM
just get better at your coding and safari will have no problem with it :P
