vBFOAF - Friend of a Friend exporter for vBulletin 3

Please find attached first version of vBFOAF - an exporter of user profiles to FOAF format.

Note that a user's buddies will become publicly viewable after installing this mod, so it is advisable to notify users of a policy change on your bulletin board.

I haven't modified any vB files, but you will have to create a custom profile field called "Real Name".

Copy the attached file into your vbulletin directory
Call with the parameter u=1 for the userid, e.g. http://www.vbulletin.ie/forums/foaf.php?u=1

Yep, it displays the FOAF-able elements from a user's profile, including who they know (their buddies) - RDF crawlers can then see who is linked to who, for example www.plink.org - later, I'd like to add a custom FOAF code profile field, so that people can add in their own FOAF bit linking to people outside the local site.

Sorry if I'm coming off as ignorant.. but where does it display the friends? Their profiles? If so, you are awesome. I requested this a looong time ago. :)

Ah, sorry - I think I've confused you, this hack provides an RDF representation of a person's profile for use on a semantic web. It doesn't show anything on a person's profile, so it is standalone.

I think what you may be interested in is another hack I beta-ed yesterday - vBFriends (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=66449).
