User Birthday: Change avatar to cake or Display cake next to name?

Hello All:
My users fell in love with the hack that displays birthday cake images around a users name when its their birthday. This was the hack for VB2: https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?p=524083#post524083

Can anyone re-create this for vb3?


Even cooler, would it be possible to change the users avatar to a default birthday image when its their birthday? Now that would be cool! I just think it is very important to recognize your users bithdays!

[Edit] I am working on this now.. will post if I come up with anything.

[Edit 2] It was pointed out to me that time zone issues would affect the display as well, so there is no simple way to do this. It will have to be a hack.

I am adding this to my list to work on but it will be a little while before I can start.
