I dont really like the fact that you cant view images that are attatched because you think we will be stealing vB code, its much to restrictive.

Another thing is I cant post in any other section besides this one due to (i assume) my un-validated status. i dont own vB, but I want to ask for some custom coding ($$ involved), and I need that coding done before I even set up my own boards. Is there some way I can post in other sections? Mabey the "paid services" section? Permissions in that section shouldnt be set so high.

You can ask them in pre-sales forum which is intended for this purpose. But please note that if they are about getting access to vbulletin codes (hence hacks), you need to get a license before accessing them since vb code and hacks are for licensed users only.

Also please note that you can purchase the license, get hacks here, and then set up your board. This is the path we all went through.

Well, some people never bought the board, but 'your path' is the 'path' I am planning on following, with the prefix of getting my custom coding done before I purchase so that I dont waste two weeks and find out that I will never be able to get that coding done. If i cant get the coding done, i dont even want the board.

btw: why cant we post in the "Service Requests" forum. Its not like we can quote people and steal code that way.

The logic here is that: Most service requests are related to vbulletin hacks/skins and one needs to own vbulletin to require these services. But I understand that your case is an exception since you need to import an hack of another software to purcase a license so I moved your thread there.
