Editunlimited v1.0

Designed for and tested in vB3.0.1

This hack is designed to allow administrators to specify usergroups that can continue to edit their own posts beyond the time limit for editing imposed on everyone else.

A permission that some thought was missing from stock vB.

Usage

Under Usergroup Manager, Post / Thread Permissions, there is a new yes / no permission setting.
(screen shot attached)

Under Forum Permissions, Post / Thread Permissions, there is a new yes / no permission setting.

The system is fully phrased.

Installation

I'm definitely going to try this out - I was just asking over at vbulletin.com about this type of permission!

Thanks a ton =)

I installed it and can't get it to work. I even doublechecked all of my files to make sure I edited them correctly. Has anyone else installed this hack and gotten it to work?

Thanks for any help =)

I know it does work as it is running on my vB3.0.1 test board.

Can you be a little more specific in where anything looks different from the screen shots or is just not working.

Maybe my instructions were wrong.

I will look into this later.

I'm not sure how to be more specific, only because I don't get any errors or anything of that sort.

The choice is in the admincp now, so I've turned it on for one usergroup, but I've had a couple of members in that group test it out, and after the global time limit expires, the edit button disappears for them.

I've double-checked that the code I replaced was correct, and that I replaced it with exactly what you put in the .txt file.

Let me know if you have any ideas!

Thanks

I do have an idea.

Do you have access masks enabled?

I don't think I supported them properly

There is one more edit to make and another optional admin help entry.

Now if you are using custom forum permissions they will not automatically disable this permission.

First post edited.

More screen shots attached and a new "fixed" download.

*edit*

:ermm:

OK I forgot to upload the new file.

I'll do this when I get home.

The Admin Help Manager is supposed to be under vBulletin Options, but I don't have it in the drop-down menu.

Where is it?

Has it been moved in vB 3.0.1?

You need to have Debug enabled for the AHM to show up ...

Hi Darkling.... please please please can you modify/make a variation of this mod so we can set specific editing times on a per forum basis? Or even better (but not absolutely required) add it to the exisitng functionality!

Please? :-)
