Hi folks,

I'm wondering if anybody would be interested in making a mod for the calendar in which events posted only show the time which was entered by the poster (with the time zone they selected in brackets next to it) instead of the calendar trying to work out what the local time of the event would be for somebody looking at it from another zone?

The reason I ask is because I'm filling up my calendar with recurring events, some of which begin at 23:00 (and finish the next day), this is causing problems for users in daylight saving time zones and making the event appear to be starting at 00:00 the next day, which won't do, people get confused, I know I would. These events don't change time when the zone they're in switches to daylight saving in the winter, they always begin at the same time.

I think it would be a lot more convenient for those browsing for events because let's face it, 95% of message board users are unlikely to travel into a different time zone for an event unless it's a business thing or something they're just really excited about.

If anybody can come up with this it'd be greatly appreciated :)

Cheers,
Robert

I take it nobody is interested in this then? I know a few people running forums with similar DST problems and it would be a huge help to them and myself.

I hope nobody minds but I'm gonna bump this once each day until somebody who can help see's it, it's really quite important that I get this working as the current system just isn't up to scratch.

Robert
