Many people had ask me when i release this hack?

The problem is, my english is bad and its hard for me, write a installations text.
So everyone feel free to help me with the instructions.

OK. Now we come to the hack.

Please make a backup of your database, before installing this hack

This hack will show you an extra side with some Stats.

- show Summary stats
- show the Browser/Os System of the users
- show the countrys (countrys by Hoster and Countries by browserlanguage)
- show the last 10 threads
- show the last 20 top referers
- show spiders and crawlers
- Forum book of records (new)
- Statistic for the last ten days (new)

and many, many other interesting counts

a lot (but very small) images

Database changes
six new tables

I have fix some bugs

The images Bhutan will show now. (If you install the old version you must change in table _statistik_laender under id 31 the flagge_link for Bhutan from images/statistik/flaggen/butan.gif to images/statistik/flaggen/bhutan.gif manuelly)
some templates are optimzed (Thank you obsidian and Zelda King)
I have modified the code for the last 10 threads (thanks go to Mystics from vBulletin Germany)
Now theads just show from the forum ids for all forums user is allowed to view.
fix some other little bugs

I've converted the templates to English, and also the countries names in the php file (well most of them :) ) although the countries names aren't showing right on my forum, but that could be because it hasn't updated yet.

Thanks for the hack pcfreak, hope you don't mind me translating it, sometimes when you convert German to English it kinda looses it's meaning, hopefully I've got the meaning right :)

Search in statistik.php for
$alle_avantars = number_format($alle_avantars['avantar']); //Alle Benutzer mit Avantar

replace it with
$alle_avantars = intval($alle_avantars['avantar']); //Alle Benutzer mit Avantar


and found
$alle_profilpics = number_format($alle_profilpics['profilpic']); //Alle Benutzer mit Profilbild


replace it with
$alle_profilpics = intval($alle_profilpics['profilpic']); //Alle Benutzer mit Profilbild

Some database don´t work with Umlauds (Ä,Ö, Ü) ect.
I had change a little bit code and the querys witch has use umlauts (Zaehler_für is now Zaehler_fuer)

Okay, one problem I had was the referer links were fairly long, and were pushing the 'referer summary' box off the screen to the right. Here's how I fixed it:

in statistik.php, find

$referer_summe = $top_referer['Zaehler'];


and paste this underneath:
$referer_short = substr($referer_adresse,0,50);

and then, in the statistik_referer template, replace the entire thing with

Also, the font surrounding the copyright doesn't match everything else. In the statistik_hauptseite template, I changed

one thing that I'm still working on is the location that's reported in online.php. Currently, if you're viewing statistik.php, online.php reports "LOCATION UNKNOWN" with a link to statistik.php.

in the navbar template (in some themes, this could be in the header template instead):

Do not referer you own domain.

Replace 'at-lantis.de' with your own domain. Example: 'my-domain.net'

So your own links are not showing in the top referer part.

On my statistics site (i have some futures more) the hack (the statistik.php) generate 35 queries. But most of them just select counters.

Here is the time for my statistik.php

Page generated in 0,42463 seconds with 35 queries,
spending 0.0515158176422 doing MySQL queries and -0.0515158176422 doing PHP things.


There are no other queries to other forum parts

PCFreak - great hack. Just installed the English version. Though you should know that there are numerous lines in your SQL files to run that don't contain #, so these are being interpreted as commands and the query fails to run. I've run them all individually and they run ok, but others with a bit less experience might get tripped up on this, so you may want to amend.

English Template Update

PCFreak - I've updated the main template file (statistik_hauptseite), to correct all the grammatical, spelling and typos - I hope you don't mind. I've completely renamed some of the wording as well. Hope that's ok with you.

The only thing that remains is to change the wording of the countries / lauguage section, which are not in the templates themselves. PCFreak - perhaps you could do that (or somebody else)?

Feel free to include it in your main zip file :). P.S. What's a 'side call'?

Great hack! I've just installed it and found that it shows the statistics two times on the same page. See http://www.pdatrends.com/statistics.php and wait for it to fully load.

It seems to be happening for the other statistics pages installed by other members. eg. http://www.celebritymarkt.de/statistik.php

Yup, I had the same problem and reported it as a problem, then two minutes later deleted my thread because I'd found that PCFreak had dupilcated the template.

The Engilsh template I submitted corrects everything as far as I can see and generally tidies things up. I changed the wording of some areas too, which I'm hoping PCFreak doesn't mind me doing.

We still need to change the country names. I'll do that later unless someone beats me to it :)

I also translated most of the countries that I could be bothered with (damn there are a few!)... here is the english table create and inserts. I am sure there are a few countries that I missed (or maybe got wrong).

The countrienames was translated. I have just upload the german functions_statistik.php and the german countrytables.

PCFreak - I've discovered a problem. In the country stats there are stats for United Kingdom as well as Great Britain. These are the same country :). What's funnier is the stats are different slightly too!

The reason is
England have two Domains
They have gb (Great Britan with Wales, Scottland, England) and uk (United Kingdom)
But they have the same flags.

I enjoyed the vbStats where just the domain was present rather than the entire URL
to do this simply modify the statistik_counter.php
While this may not suite everyone it makes the appearance of the domain better for me.

Find:

$DER_REFERER = $_SERVER['HTTP_REFERER'];

replace with:

//$DER_REFERER = $_SERVER['HTTP_REFERER'];
$DER_REFERER = parse_url($_SERVER[HTTP_REFERER]);


and two sql instances
find:

Hmm, the new stats (forum records, etc) don't show me the figures. Aren't there supposed to be some new queries to run for the new section? I don't see any new files in the sql directory. Also, my version of MySQL no longer shows.

I am having one problem with this hack. The thread count at the top is two more threads than I really have compared to my forumhome page at the bottom. I install the hack as instructed and I havn't modified anything dealing with the thread counter.

Well the thread count I got back was the correct one on the stats page which was 126. Could the forumhome page stats at the bottom maybe not counting private threads and the statistic hack is counting the private threads?

That bit isn't controlled by the template. Even if translated though, there'd be an issue regarding 'plural - singular'.

To be honest, I'd completely overlooked that. It's quite well camoflaged by long URLs.

PcFreakWell that only works the "10 Last Topics ", but that has not affect on the Total Threads. It is still counting the private threads. But it isin't that big of a deal, at least I can know how the topics of private threads with this.

I have done this mistake as i convert the countrienames to english.

Here are a few small things that are not working for me and I thought that I'd report them:

- The last 10 days <----- not inserting into database, therefore, not showing anything. I've verified that nothing is being inserted into the database via phpmyadmin

- Browser / OS - Statistics <---- not inserting into database, therefore, not showing anything. I've verified that nothing is being inserted into the database via phpmyadmin

- Visitor Countries <----- Visitor Countries Browser Language (Represented Dynamically) <--- that is all it says and is blank.

- Visitor Countries Host (Represented Dynamically <---- that is all it says and is blank.

- Searchrobots <----- Again, not inserting. Here is what it says: 0 (%) counted spiders since statistics started.

I had something else in the phpinclude_start template that was preventing it from inserting and now it's working with one exception:

The top 20 referers is not working and not showing anything although I went from one link on another domain/site to mine and it didn't show up.

Here is the summary:

2 visitors visited xxxx directly.
0 visitors were referred here by another site (Referer).
There are about -1 referring sites (Referer) through which visitors found xxxx since statistics started.

The most american use "net" ore "com" as host.

UPDATE: I'm now getting the referring links and everything is populating fine now (not sure why it took so long but it's working). One more question while I'm thinking of it.

On the "top 20" referring links it is truncating the actual link and not just how it's displayed. Is it possibly to only show "xx" characters of the link but make it so that when it's click that the link is not truncated?

This does not run for me. The problem is, that the sql queries insert tabels without prefix and later, the counter uses the prefix.

My VB runs with "vb3_" prefix for the tables into the database. Is there something to fix this? Maybe someone had this problem before. I didn't wanted to read all posts here :(

It looks beautiful, PcFreak. You might consider removing the word statistic/s from every category heading except "General Statistics". You already have two titles without the word statistic/s in them, and I think it might read a little more smoothly. Just an idea...:)

You would be better off doingFROM " . TABLE_PREFIX . "thread as thread which would make the ... thread.open ... thread.visible ... work regardless of the PREFIX value

I found a problem with how you count your threads in this hack. The thread counter is counting all the threads included "soft deleted" thread and redirects thread as well. The vBulletin Statisics at the bottom of the forum home page is only counting real threads. So you may want to update your thread count code because your thread counter isn't counting right.

At the moment i am coding the install script and convert all the templates to english.

The code (all together) is more then 5000- 6000 lines.
There are 35 templates. Many new statistics. Better spider detection (more then 90 different spiders will detect now). The images for the flags now completely (254 different images).
The statistic is completely adjustable over the Admincp and much more is inserted.

I will release soon. Perhaps, in the end of this week.

Can I suggest that you might be able to refer to the Spider list in the vB Options to get your spider user agents and descriptive names ?

I don't see one with 'Messages in it other than the Control Panel Stop Message phrase group. Could that be the group you're referring to to make the two new phrases in?

Just one thing, maybe for a future release.
We've translated our board completely in Dutch. But the stats remain to be in English. Could you consider to add phrases for the text that is in the templates? That way, translation will be easy for everybody :)
