Okay, I've done a search, and all I see is people who don't know how to set the max size for avatars.
I'm well passed that.
My problem is back on IPB, there was an option in the upload function where any poster could manually set the height / width as long as you didn't exceed the max reqs. Is there a hack for vB to do the same? Some of my forumers would like to see this implemented.
Please help.

Im atad confused, you set the max size for avatars in the Usergroup options,
a user can upload an avatar that as big or smaller than the max height/width or filesize.
If it is too large for any one the following, height width filesize, it wont let them upload it.

What I mean is, for example, if the avatar is too large, for example, IPB would let us resize it. vB doesn't have that option [that I'm aware of]. Does this mean that a hack will need to be installed to implement this feature?

Yes it does, there is No feature at this time, it would be hack, GD cannot resize gif images, and not everyone has gd

But it could still be an option, just like the creation of thumbnails for attached images. If you attach a GIF image, it creates the thumbnail as a JPG. The avatar-auto-resize feature could do the same.

I actually asked the devs about adding this as a standard feature and it was a no(well a few months ago anyway), so someone will have to hack it in.
