there is a version for 3.5, but there have been reports it does not work correctly

I don't think this works correctly with 3.0 series either, I've been using this now for over a month and I have yet to see one spider indexing the easy archive pages on my site, even though I have spiders pretty active there lile Goggle, MSN, Yahoo etc...

It just seems as though they don't get indexed at all by spiders for some reason.

I was running it for 2 months, not one was ever spotted in the easy archive even though I have spiders on my site all the time. This was also reported as not working for vB 3.5 also.

But the version created for vB2 works perfect by another user called Teck I think. But this has problems with spiders not going and indexing the pages

with the code provided in the files for 3.5 version archive was not functioning properly, but with the fixes given by other coders in the thread itself, it works fine now :)

I've noticed that google dropped a large amount of my pages. I'm wondering if this is a penalty for running two archives?

Anyone have any idea why I'd be getting this error after upgrading mysql to 4.2 ?

hmm, that has nothing to do with 4.2 but that the pagenumber is invalid if pagenumber is 0 this error will occur

open archive_functions.php

find:

$vars = array(
'id' => $infos[0],
'pagenumber' => $infos[1]
);


and change into:

$vars = array(
'id' => $infos[0],
'pagenumber' => max($infos[1], 1)
);

I know that google's sitemap formating has changed a bit but was wondering if this is still a viable alternative for vb 3.0 in today's google spider environment? Any tweaks to make it proper?

I have really appreciated your work on the VB Easy Archive, and I have used it on a couple of my VB forums in the past.

I was wondering if this version of Vb Easy Archive will work with VB 3.6.x or 3.7.x?

I know that VB has its own archive system, but I like the functionality and customizability of VB Easy Archive...

I installed the script, and when I try to go the the archives page, I receive a forum permission error:

Khashyar, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:

Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.


The "mod_mime" Apache module was NOT installed on my server, so I changed the name of the two files as mentioned in the instructions.

Any ideas of how I can get vB Easy Archive to work?
