Hello all,
we're running a forum for an upcomming mmorpg and are currently in beta. We recently bought us a license for VB3 so we could check it out before deciding to make the move from phpbb2 to vb3.
Now, currently, we have a bug report tool in the website where all beta testers can login, and report any bugs they found.
What we are looking for is to integrate this system into the VB so users can just login to the forum and those with the right acces can enter this bug report system.
Now, we also want to incorperate the games billing system into the VB. So they they don't need an extra part of the website to manage their billing, but can simply change those things from the VB.
Is this possible?
And if so, anyone willing to explain or point us into the right direction?
Thanks in advance.

Anything is possible. First off there is a hack called vB-Bugs which you can use and just re-enter your info from the old bugs system. Secondly vBulletin now supports Paypal etc...and may do what you need it to but you would need to explain in more detail what you need as far as billing goes so we can help you out.

Well, I asume you know that for all current mmorpgs you need to pay a monthly fee, usually via Visa or game cards.
Each of these game have an account section on the website where users can create a game account, and setup a billing plan. (paying montly, or each 3 or 6 months), as well as manage adress and cancell their game account.
What we are looking for is a way to combine this with the forum. So once a customer is logged into the forum, he has acces to his game account management via the forum.
And yes, vb supports paypal, but that is for subscriptions to the forum only afaik.

Well, the bugtracker has been installed and modified.
All we need now is a way to handle to game accounts.

For credit cards etc i would assume you'd need a custom hack.. as paypal may not be appropriate.

Well, usually a mmorpg is payed via Worldpay.
The big thing is that somehow, a customer has to be able to enable his forum account to become a customer. (on the condition he still has an active game account)
So this would be done via the account section. But, it should also be possible for us to look up his game account name via his forum name.
If anyone thinks he might be able to do it, or at least put us in the right direction, it would be greatly apreciated.
