Has anyone successfully done a classifieds for Vbulletin in a hack? Or has anyone at least integrated some sort of classifieds with vbulletin?

How about using PhotoPost Classifieds, but automatically putting a post in a vb3 forum whenever an item is entered?

That would be so cool. Do you know how to do that wacnstac, or were you just thinking out loud?

<a href="http://www.photopost.com" target="_blank">www.photopost.com</a>

It costs $100.00 and the support is horrible. Not recommended by me. :x

Yeah I know, I bought it! Riddled with bugs....but to be fair, it is still in Beta which I didn't realise in my eagerness to buy it....D'OH!! I've taken it off my site but I'll keep an eye out for future releases. If everything worked, I would gladly have paid even more for it. Its all about our expectations, isn't it?

Even photopost is full of bugs (for me) , and it's been around for as long as I can remember. But I can't get ANY help, I'm very dissapointed that I spent that much money on a product that doesn't have enough features over free galleries to make it cost 130 bucks. Now if they backed that up with support, it would be a different story.. but they don't. Meh, good luck with it though. :)

Oh really? That's not very encouraging...hmm...

I'm going to try and do as much as possible with vbulletin hacks now, rather than trying to integrate 3rd party products. Better to keep it in the family and you know its all vb code and it all works together.

I came across this thread the other day. Its a simple way of creating a vb gallery, and I'm going to try and see if I can use it as a simple classifieds system.

We just released PhotoPost Classifieds 1.8 which can be seen on PhotoPostDev (http://www.photopostdev.com) and ViperAlley (http://www.viperalley.com/classifieds/index.php). Like PhotoPost, the classifieds integrates with vB3 user database (single login), usergroups, signatures/avatars, vB3 headers/footers and the 1.8 release integrates directly with vB3 styles; allowing your users to have the exact same look and feel across your forums and classifieds.

Our dedicated staff of paid support personnel monitor the sites nearly 24 hours a day and rarely does a post go without answers in a timely manner. 90 times out of 100 anyone who claims they didn't get support is either unable to prove it or it turns out they never even posted on our site to begin with. If you are that 1 person who feels they didn't get an answer, get in touch with me personally and I'll make sure any issues are resolved.

Glad to hear it - all anyone has to do is ask for help and our support staff is more than capable of helping anyone out. PhotoPost Classifieds 2.1 has been released with improved vB3 Enhanced features, too.

On ViperAlley.Com (http://www.viperalley.com/classifieds/index.php) we've sold over $1 million dollars worth of Dodge Vipers within our community in the past year using PhotoPost Classifieds.
