Board Is Messed Up

Ok my board is messed up real bad. i believe its from all the hacks i added. i dont know. but anyway

Can i upload and OVERWRITE all my vb files and still not lose my members or the post?

because i have a good amount of members and im not tryin to have them reregister or repost all the threads again.

help me out please

u can reupload all the default files and that should fix mostly everything
ps use file manager in cpanel to backup the folder before u try

and also backup the database using cpanel thats ur best bet

Yes...

You can delete or overwrite all of your vb files with unmodified originals and it will have no effect on your users posts counts, rep, etc. All of that information is stored in the database.

Obviously when you do this, any FX your users have gained through those now, overwritten hacks, will be lost until you re-apply the hacks.

Obviously, before you do anything with your vb, you should back your database up, even if what you are doing is bengin and poses no thread to it. Because it is always better to be safe then sorry.

You can use your phpadmin to do the backup or you can do it directly from mysql's export. a cp backup is probably best though, but its whatever you are comfortable with.
