Style Downloader Hack

Ok i've written a hack that allows members to download a .xml file for a style installed on a board. It however wont get images, just the .xml. I need it to be beta tested tho.

My question is how legit would this hack be (i think its legal) cause i dont want it to be used for the wrong reasons.

Umm, What reason do you want people to download styles from your board?

Personaly i see more missabuse than good use with this.

But then again i might be wrong

I think the hack would be legit if the styles available for download are his own made styles.

And maybe if you modify the hack to download a zip file of the style.xml and the images?

Dunno how hard that would be, or even if it's possible.

And perhaps you could make a selection on the Admin CP that says something like "Allow Style for Download by users?"

Ryan, i do have it set so a admin can change the status from downloadable to not in the admincp.

I dont know how i would make it download into a zip folder. I'd have to read up on that one.


Umm, What reason do you want people to download styles from your board?
I was thinking it could be used for people who offer free styles for vB.
