I am getting set to upgrade my vb2.3.2 forum to 3.0.1. In the new version, I really like the little check mark for new users to confirm that they agreed to the TOS statement. After my upgrade, can I force all my existing members to complete some kind of TOS agreement where they have to check mark or type a confirmation? I asked over at vb.com and Jake offered this:
Forcing another TOS agreement would require a custom script.
I recommend you move your existing users to a new usergroup without posting permissions, then use a custom script that shows the TOS that changes the user's primary group when the TOS is submitted.
For help with creating a script like this I recommend you post on www.vbulletin.org, the official vB hacking site.So does anyone have any ideas on how this could be done?
Thanks in advance,
Chris
