Hi,

I switched from UBBThreads to vBulletin and I am missing one very useful UBBT Feature.

UBBT showed on the forumhome page how many new posts and thread a new cat has (see onforumhome.jpg screenshot).

Inside the forum you can then see (like normal) all threads and then a new number where all new posts are shown which are UNREAD for YOU and only for YOU. (see 2nd screenshot)

This was a very good indicator for my member if there are new posts, new threads and how much...

Is this possible?

Kind regards
jluerken

Yes I converted a board for someone from UBBthreads and they want this feature back as well. It's the only thing they miss about UBB. I have been looking thru threads here for a similar hack as well.

i belieave this feature exsists already for vb.

i think your talking about the newposts link at the top of the nav bar of vb which the link should look something like this

search.php?do=getnew

and it will show the latest threads since your last visit

No that isn't the same. This tells you on the front page how many replies since your last visit. VB shows everything as read when you enter the forum, even if you havent read the threads.
