View Full Version : Custom field in registration - non-editable in UCP

Hello,

i am installing a forum at our local university which will be used by the students for discussion about several lectures and to download lecture-material. The students are required to enter their University-ID-Number in a field during registration (custom field), but they shall not be allowed to change the number in the UCP after that anymore.

How could this be achieved ?

Try making the field required and making it non-editable by the user:)

Thanks for your reply.

I tried that but then the field isn't shown during the registration. Only when I "make" this field user-editable, it is displayed in the registration process.

Thats an issue i found as well. I am not sure if it is possible without some sort of hack which I still havent found.

i found a solution under the following link:

After applying this modification I can set fields in the desired way, so that users can fill in the fields during registration, but can't alter their inputs later.
