I have searched a few different ways with no luck. How would I get a list of categories from my forum? I just want the main ones, no subcategories.

You just want the categorys to list? none of the subcats?

AdminCP > vBulletin Options > Forum Listings Display Options > pth of Forums - Forum Home change to 1

Sorry, need to explain myself a little more. I would like to create a box on the left that would like the main categories. This would be used later in maybe a portal hack or something.
