This might be an awesome hack a number of users are looking for.
When a member signs up to our forum, they also get a referral link in the form of http://www.forumname.com/?membername and they can use this link to recruit new members to the forum. Instructions on this can be sent in the welcome email they get after signing up.
Everytime they refer an individual who signs up to the forum through their referral link, they get $0.10-$0.50 added as a referral commission in a 'revenue' area in their control panel or they get some reward points (once the reward script is ported to vb3).
Might also want to make it so the referred user has atleast 3-5 posts before the member is credited with the referral bonus.
It would be a great and very popular script since a lot of Vbulletin forums are looking to reward their existing members for referring new members to their forums.
Also thinking maybe this will allow a forum to build up something like a social network, ala Friendster.com....where you can be linked to your referrals, and your referrals referrals!
