Hey all
Is the following possible, or has it been created?
Currently, with vB2 when you post a thread you get a link of showthread.php?s=&threadid=1.
Is there anyway I can change this so it'd be /threads/thread_title/.
Obviously this would use htacces and hacking of the files, but is this possible and if so, how? :)
Regards,
Chris

Yes I know, I already mentioned using htaccess. :)
However, from what I know, there's no way to grab the title of the thread, it'd be able to grab the thread ID I'd imagine, but not thread title...

Well you would run into problems in the long run, as thread names can be dupilcate :/

Sucks, I didn't think about that. Isn't ther any feature or vB hack to disallow dupe thread titles?

I think you could add this, but the larger the database gets the longer it would check tot ake dupe threads :/

It's all against me ;).
Thanks for your help. Gonna go with the /thread/thread_id/ method, that'd be better :)
