Ok, I am looking for a portal system that uses the custome templates. my site (being tested at http://test.teambia.com) has a custome tempate, I tried installing vBPortal, but it over rights my theme, I just want it to use my current theme header, and open/close tables etc. Is there one or will somone be making one?

vBportal doesnt work with vBulletins templates as far as i knew, try using vBadvanced or vBindex :) they use vBulletin template system

when your installing vbportal, do not overwrite your default theme. instead upload the vbportal_demo theme as a new one. if you make the vbportal theme a child of your default, it will add the vbulletin templates to all your pages with minimum effort. If you upload vbportal_demo theme as a new skin, its easy to copy and paste your changes into. vbportal 3.x is almost all template driven (works with vbulletin templates and conditionals), just a few screens still remain hardcoded but will be moved to templates in due time.

Yes but the system is stilly unglody slow and rather resource intensive, unless this has changed in the last month?

That changed 6 months ago with vbportal for vBulletin 3.0
Have you tried vbportal for vBulletin 3.0 ? I don't recognise your username.
