Event signup in Calendar

Hi,

When events are put up on our calendar, we'd like for people to click on a button after typeing their name, and it will list the event with people that have said, 'Ok, I'm game count me in.' Without having to start a new thread saying that people r ready to take part.

I.E. Click on calendar, brings up a months view, then u click on an event, which gives details of the event.

I would like a text input box, with a 'submit' button and when it refreshes, it will also list all the people taht have typed their name then clicked the button

Aren't you afraid of people registering and then putting in a dirty name or something? Wouldn't you just rather have their username show?

I validate all members. The forum is used for a Guild we have in EverQuest, and u must be in the guild to be a member.

To piggy back on the request above, this hack would be even more useful if it was integrated with email a little bit, so that admins could blast an email message containing the details of the event...
