I know that, but the user profile picture is broken (and going through this thread, you'll see that its broken for a lot of other people too).

Yes signature editing still has to be done thru admincp, but at least with the signature gallery part of this hack, you can quickly view everyone's sigs.

A note on the sig gallery feature:

vB doesn't have image checking (but there are hacks for size). It also doesn't control the number of images -- only the character count.

People also have a tendency to hotlink, which we do not allow.

I have sigs turned off for me on my board because many of our users get carried away with them and I don't want to have to scroll an entire screen just to get to the next post.

This allows me to scan sorted by the latest modify date looking for hotlinking and other issues. ;)

BTW -- this hack will not work on vB 3.5 as written. If you are planning to upgrade anytime soon, you may want to hold off and watch for a 3.5 version to be released.

I would really like the sig guardian hack to get that one last update the author promised so I can use it and turn on sig img's.

But I only wanted this for the album of profile photos.

But its bringing up users avatars, not profile pics! wtf

The instructions for this hack assume certain things that could cause serious problems for inexperienced users.

First of all, no contingency is made for people using table prefixes.

Number two, in adding table data for phrases, it's assumed that no other phrases have been added and that this data can be added at phraseid 9231.

I only got this hack working after debugging several problems.

Please revise your instructions accordingly.

I dropped "customprofilepic" and then now I get database error when viewing any member profile.

I tried to rerun the queries but I get this:

An error occurred while attempting to execute your query. The following information was returned.
error number: 1064
error desc: You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near ';
ALTER TABLE `customprofilepic` ADD reason varchar(100) not null' at line 1

You dropped the whole table? :eek:

That's a default vBulletin table, to which this hack merely added two columns. You should've dropped the columns not the table!

The solution is to create a new version of the table:
