Collapsable threads?

In vB 2.X I used to have a hack that collapsed all the posts in a thread to just a short summary of the post if it had already been marked as read. Is this hack floating around for vB 3.0? If not is anyone working on it? It saved an awful lot of scrolling.

Bira hasnt been online since April of last year so I figure posting in his thread wont help much.

Anyone else interested in something like this? If so I guess I could attempt to port it to VB3 but it'd take me a long time.
