Ah well - took me 20mins in photoshop and imageready. I actually made the background by accident then figured i'd make it into some animation. Not sure if it'll play the animation in IE or whatever browser you're using so you might wanna open it up in windows preview or something.
Check it out :)

Heh, yeah - did a quick search for "Matrix" and this returned in the results... the attachment looked great! Was it ever made into anything?

It's a very simple technique that you can do by using a pixelated font, masking (if your shaping the object) and implementing the animation so the text scrolls up and down. I did this kind of effect on some IPB buttons 3 years ago and they looked crap then as does the technique does now.
Just google matrix photoshop tutorials and you'll find an abundance of ways to create this technique and with the added bonus that it's easy to integrate into your works (buttons, banners, logos etc). I'll need to fish out the buttons and show you how crap this technique looks.

I wonder if there ever will be a matrix like thing and please no one say the internet!
Just think it would be awesome if we did have a matrix.

Just think it would be awesome if we did have a matrix.
So it would be awesome to be plugged into a power generator to feed an army of energy hungry robots?
But then again how do you know that you aren't already?

Because we had a long power surge and the world didn't disapear.

Because we had a long power surge and the world didn't disapear.
That is only because there was a disturbance in Hamburg that required rewriting that portion of the matrix.
