The tyranny of Wojen has ended.
Vbskins and ravio gone now!!!
howcome? was it because vb3 was going to put them out of business?

No, because Corey Wojen stole peoples money.
really, wouldnt that mean he has money to run vbskins??
and what about Ravio?

The guy took peoples money after they paid him to code skins. The work was never completed. The money rarely refunded.
vBskins.com made a few skins, he gladly took the money for them. Some people never got their purchased skins, some people got them and were happy with the skins till they discovered his bad coding. When they tried to get support for the skins (myself included) Corey never answered his support tickets.
It is in everyones best interest to forget about anything Corey and just move on. I say good riddence, too bad it didn't happen sooner.
thanks for the info hexonxonx! I had no idea! sorry to those who lost $$$.
Is there anyone else out there making skins??

The affiliate links must have just been added over the last few days. Previously it was just a blank page.
As for other skins, I would suggest vbskinz.com. Notice the Z in the url. I'm not too happy with vbulletinstyles.com. I never have been because of the support given. Lots of support questions went unanswered in the forums. Miko has begun converting many of the 2.3 skins over to 3.0 but I haven't been happy with those either. You may like them, it's just preference.

I would recommend vbskinz.com for a large selection of skins. Though I've never needed support there, any other question I had was always promptly answered. Also for custom design I"d recommend http://www.vbmechanic.com/ Though skin design is not their primary role, Alex is a very good designer and very prompt and professional. I'm currently having him design my VB3 skin. He has also released one skin (VB3) for public sale, Squareville, (http://www.vbmechanic.com/skins/index.php?styleid=4) and as far as I know has plans to release more.

Also notice that this vBMechanic claims that he wrote the code for the Reputation System for vB3?
Reputation system for Jelsoft / vBulletin 3.0
Jelsoft, the makers of vBulletin, came to vBMechanic to purchase the Reputation code that is now included in all new vBulletin versions.
... yeah, he's real professional. :)

Karma hack was going a long while (in fact years) before vbull decided to implement it into vb3 and call it Reputation instead of karma.
Not sure who wrote the orginal hack but regardless is a good hack indeed

I'm glad I went with vbskinz.com for my skin instead of vbskins. Not to mention it seems that vbskinz has better skins than vbskins had.

Just like Ravio.com it's been shutdown because the owner was lying, cheating scum.

not that i'm a mod or anything but seriously all this corey was a bad man stuff needs to stop, theirs a thread on it on every forum and most of the people who seem to have a greivence with him never done any business with him to get ripped off by, it just seems that too many people backpack and it's not even good, it's just pointless.
vfxtalk: if you want vbskins-esqe work done i would suggest trying insidethepixel.com to the best of my knowledge he worked over at vbskins for a while before departing to take up his own project.

How do you know I didn't?
Here's a shoehorn to help get that foot outta yer mouth :p Why would I make a claim like that when it is easily verifiable whether I did or I did not code the reputation system?

he never said you didn't merely suggested that professionalism would've meant you left that information from your site ;)

Oh no, not you again ;) Hello, sabret00the.
I don't think that's what he meant at all. Why would a professional leave pertinent information like that from their CV? Modesty? He said:

I'm not disputing whether you did make it or not. I'm simply saying that if you did make it, I'm not sure too many people would believe you based on the statement on your website about it.
Perhaps more of a professional statement, and maybe some more in-depth information about that project would deter people like me from suggesting such things. ;)

He did... He followed my footsteps from the original Karma hack after I abandoned it and eventually his code was acquired by Jelsoft and is the basis of the Reputation system in vBulletin 3. One of his monikers is also listed on the credits page within vBulletin.com which he could probably get changed to a more "professional" name for you by contacting Kier.
