I have been using CuteFTP Pro, but I think due to my firewall or router or something I can't use it. When I try to connect the STATUS window is just blank no actions are performed. What is just as good?

I use FTP Voyager, but it tends not to work well with Firewalls..
I have to disable mine temporarily when uploading files, otherwise often they're "cut" early.

I use FlashFXP and I think it's better than cuteftp in some cases.

Ditto: I used FlashFXP for all sites, but I didn't know Beyond Compare had a FTP client ... might be useful ...

I've been using Filezilla for about a year now. Great open source software.

FlashFXP here too. I used to use Filezilla at Uni but it had a habbit of only donwloading half the file when using a secure connection.

I use Total Commander's (formerly Windows Commander) built in FTP. Best there is and you get a Norton Commander like file manager, too. ;)

Have you tried EditPlus2? It has a built in FTP client also. ;)

Yep - don't like EditPlus's syntax highlighting though ;)

Currently I use CuteFTP Pro, I dont use the editor, just the FTP. It has built in SFTP so that I can login to ftp as root to my server.

As an FTP site Admin, I hate CuteFTP Pro (as do most other FTP admins) cos of the automatic multi-tap "feature" - that's why it's so speedy ...
Just cos it's fast, doesn't make it better ... in this case speed kills (your connection if the SysAdmin finds you using 15 taps into his server to download one game demo, etc) ...
Just my $0.02AUD

Does anyone have any idea why CuteFTP Pro is not loading?
