I would like to have a hack that would give my contributing members the ability to ignore moderators. Does anyone know what all would be involved in something like this?

I mean to ignore their posts, basically to be able to add a moderator to their ignore lists. The ability for members to ignore mods is global, it can be turned on or off for all members but as far as I know a hack would be required to only let certain user groups ignore moderators.
Basically I want contributing members to be able to add moderators to their ignore list but not regular members.

We have our reasons. It's not an issue with them.
