Guests can see thumbnail but not full sized image

A cool hack would be to let guests/people who are not logged in view the thumbnails of pictures but not the full sized pics
(and also not the attached movies, zip files etc)

when they click the thumbnail to view the full sized pic they get the message to log in or register an account.

OR if that can't be done
show a default thumbnail to guests/people who are not logged in
for example on that says "register or log in to view this image"

Can't you just say NO to 'can download attachments' on your non-registered usergroups?

I haven't tested it now that thumbnails are out, but I thought I saw that was how it worked. Could be wrong -- certainly wouldn't be the first time. :squareeyed:

I have it set to "No" for non-registered usergroups ... then it just shows the name of the attached file as a link ... and when it gets clicked they are asked to login or register.

so it's not that easy ;)
