View Full Version : Banner Advertising???

I run a very popular North Easter Fly Fishing site (http://www.neflyfishing.net). A few people have approached me regarding a banner for their business. The problem is, I have no idea as to what to charge. Any help / suggestions would be very much appreciated.

Erm ... I think he want's to know how much he can charge ppl for putting adverts on his forum.
So what has Google Adverts to do with this? :)

Depends on how popular your board is. In germany the minimum price for 1000 views (standard banner 468 x 60) is about 5 ?.

I know that Kirby - but a lot of people use it instead of offering advertising spots these days as it can generate as much revenue :)

It depends where you are placing these banners on your forum. Top of forumhome, bottom, where?

For Euro to Dollar conversions check out www.xe.com - but banner rates will vary from country to country.

If you check out my site, http://www.njflyfishing.com, you will see the banner ads on the top right corner. This is where the banners would appear. They would also appear in a similar location when you click on the forums.

CNCZone... What do you typically charge for a banner add? I'm only looking for an average, you don't have to tell me what you charge your customers. Please give a reason as to why you charge what you do, if you don't mind taking the time out to do so.

Main page banners are 150.00 a month and sitewide are 50.00 a month. I charge that because I can get that. These companies spend thousands a month with magazine ads, what their paying for advertising on my site is nothing in comparison.
