adding a new admincp nav button

I am trying to add a new "section" to my admin cp nav bar (the sidebar) now i thought all i need to do is add a couple of
"construct_nav_option" and close them with a "construct_nav_group" however that does not seem to work (the new option does not appear)
am i missing something ?

That's the way it does work.
Check your code again, maybe you put it at the wrong place (eg. inside an if or such)?

strange, i moved my lines a bit and it began to work (they were not inside an if) O.o

They must have been at some place where the code was not executed :)
