could you make either the "[HTL] & [Normal]" txt a post fix or even a post-fix drop down so that when viewing the forumhome you have some idea of what the threads are rather than what format their available in as it's a tad more informative to know what they are rather than how they come?
really i'd prefer to do away with making em with normal all together as, anyone that actually checked the thread of read the rules would know that it comes in txt as standard but meh sure if you'll all see the logic in that the same way i do :)

I'd agree with this.

Given that every hack should have a textual version of the instructions, the entire prefix system is quite useless...

Erwin is a very busy man and currently Stefan is taking exams - give them a week or so to reply with their thoughts :)

To be honest i would prefer if hacks are labeled if they are HTL as i only install HTL hacks now.
Im not debating quality of hack , just i prefer to use the HTL system as i can keep track of what is installed & dont have to mess about checking compatability.

I'm not going to get into the debate over the HTL but what's to stop you entering the thread and seeing it a hack is HTL or not. After all the HTL stores all the hacks you have stored in a reference somehwere if i'm not mistaken :)?

It is already planned to change the way a bit, but as Dean already said, we are currently very busy here, but as said it's noted.
Also i have to agree with dean, it's not that hard to look into a thread if you want to install the mod ;)

Sorry but i don't understand your post then.

so, regarding your last post, you don't like it if the htl hacks will be labeled, and therefore you are saying the 100% opposite of your post above???

im a bit confused . I thought thread is about changing the prefix of threads , i dont agree that HTL should be removed from thread titles. If it changes - ie if i have to check every single hack to see if it's HTL or not i would rather save time by using other sites that label hacks with the appropriate type of hack.

instead of having threads titled
[htl] & [normal] this is a great hack
just change it to
this is a great hack [htl]
and that really don't need an admin to be here for, unless you're going to hack it in as a drop down post-fix, it's just a matter of editing the announcement in the mods forums.
