Hi,
I am new to vBulletin, just bought my copy Thursday. My users are currently doing an auction (without me saying it's possible, lol) for the winning 'user' price to be paid via a paypal donation -- and the winning bidder wants to have their username in any color they choose.. I Think this is a neat idea, as it's a great way for donations to be brought in by means of an 'auction'. I've read several threads that show large hacks to get a colored username, but I only want to this one hack. I'm running 2.3.4 .. I don't want the USER to be able choose colors based in his control panel, but rather only me, admin, doing it via the Administrative CP. Is there anything out there that can do this one thing?

Also, is it possible to have threads labeled by STICKY or ANNOUNCEMENT to appear in different colors? (the clickable link, that is) say, STICKY is YELLOW, and Announcement is RED?

I've read a lot about the postbit Template... Can someone also direct me to some documentation on hacking vB? I don't know where to even look, lol.. I"ve been on here all day long searching.. Any help is definately GREATLY Appreciated!

Thanks assassingod!

Anyone: I tried some of the Template hacks for the UserName color, by using the User Profile Field, it works right in IE, but Netscape shows the users in Black.. (because if there isn't data set in fieldX) netscape sees < font color = "" > -- but IE sees it the same way, but displays the white text for the username. Any suggestions?

Thanks!!!
