hehe my second request
basicly i was wondering about this expansion to the passworded forums

because i feel at the moment this feature is kind of rubbish
no need because of the fact we can restrict via usergroups

but to make it a good feature i was wondering on if for example
we could make passwords to the passworded forum unique to the username

ie they email you for the password to the forum or its a premium forum can't access without password

so making that password unique to the username would mean that no one else besides the person that has access to the account can enter the forun regardless of the password of the other username

coz at the moment anyone guesses the password or gives it out thats it everyone can near enough have access to the forum
and whats the use of that ?

erm, you can achive such restrictions much easier if you enable per user access mask in you vb options ;)

exactly the same way as you did it in vb2.

read the manual on vb.com it's explained there i think

vb2 didn't have passworded forums
i know how to restrict via access masks
but my proposal was about expanding the passwords sometimes its a different thing to have it passworded then to stop them via permissions
