I have about 12 moderators and we like to discuss controversial posts once they are reported and come to a consensus before we take action on a post or poster.
On vB2.3.4 my programmer had made a hack that caused a new reported post to create a new thread in the private Moderators > Holding Tank folder.
The new thread contained a copy of the offending post as well as a copy of the complaint. Subsequent complaints about that same post were added to the new thread as well. Finally a link to the original thread was included.
There our moderators could discuss the problem and arrive at a consensus in a traditional discussion format, rather then by email.
I've since upgraded to vb3.0.0 RC3 and my php-programmer has disappeared. I have no idea how to recreate this hack and wonder if any of you might be interested in tackling it.
We used this feature for about 2 years and it was far, far better then filling up our email boxes with reported posts and it kept a record of problematic posts and posters on the forum, for later reference.
