I think that this could be handy for banned usergroups where you would have a template set that has the log out links removed and maybe ugly colors or something, but anyway, how would one force one style to be used forum wide for one usergroup?

already released, try using search ;)If you are refering to NTLDR's hack, that's not really the idea that I'm talking about. Let me make myself more clear in what I'm looking for.
I don't allow users on my boards to change styles, so that is not an issue. What I am looking to do, is force a different "default" style on a usergroup that overides the default style set in the admincp and any forum specific style set in the admincp. I searched and I didn't see a hack that does this.
Does this make sense?

I know the thread is years old, but I'm still missing a solution to the problem, and searching didnt help.
And just like today, you said it was released years ago, and never told us where. Really helpfull.

Kirby has one that allows you to restrict styles to usergroups. All you have to do is use that mod and restrict each group to the style you choose.

I managed to install that mod but it doesnt force my users to a certain style if they logout it falls back on the default design once they log back in.

oops you actually posted taht lol
i manage to get it to do what i needed to do but for you it might be different . I have no programming knowledge i just searched the forums and played with the coding till it worked ..
i used this
$userdata->set('styleid', 5);
so i guess if you can find a place to put that and a if statement such as
if banned user $userdata->set('styleid', 5); ..
good luck..
