replacement hack wanted

does anybody knew if there is a hack or similar that replace's all http::// or www only in threads or replays with for example h**p:// or w*w. But only replaced in threads or replays. Should not be replaced in Signature or mails or other things on vbb..

Why do you want to do this?

I can give you a query that will replace every http with h**p but it would be good to know what your trying to do.

so it ist because in here in switzerland we don't like full links in boards... so this is only in threads not in signatures or mails and so on. That means when somebody makes a thread wieht a full link like http://www.aaaaa.ch this must be h**p://w*w/aaaaaa.ch . But as i said only in threads and replies .... All the other links in Heads, signatures , pn's and so on must be original..

I hope u understand what i mean..

I'm very confused why you would think that in Switzerland "they" do not like full links. A quick check on some .ch websites revealed many links that use the full address on the webpages.

What is your concern. What are you trying to prevent? If I understand your problem I or others can hopefully come up with the best solution.

Don't worry... its my own privat board... i just want to have no full links on threads... but i can try to make it by myself.. There is nothing forbidden or so.. IIt is just an idea from me..

You could try using the censor option but i believe this may censor signatures etc which you did not want. Also MetalGearMaster is right Andy B. Kaethy explained clearly why she needed this, if you was not willing to give her a solution there was no need for the constant posts ;)

I was just curious to understand why Katharina would not want to have links in her posts. If she does not want to explain it then that is fine. All she had to do is say so.

Here is a query that will change http to h**p in every post. Please backup your database before running.

UPDATE post SET pagetext = REPLACE(pagetext, 'http', 'h**p')

Note the post_parsed table will still cache existing posts, so it will appear that no change have been made. You need to run Rebuild Post Cache for the change to take effect.

admin cp -> Import & Maintenance -> Update Counters -> Rebuild Post Cache

Ok Explanation. I Have A Vbb Installed On My Privat Computer. So I Tryed Out Some Different Things. Then I Saw The Rplacement Variable In Admin Panel. But Every Time A Replaced Something, All My Post , My Signatures And So On Wanted To Be Replaced Too. This Is What I Didn't Want. So I Was Looking For A Hak Which Only Replaces Word's In Threads, Postings, And Replay's.. Taht's The Wholw Magic.. But By The Way,, Der Is An Existing Hack Named "attachement To File" It Moves An Attachement Which Is In A Database To A File On Server. But The Name From The File Is Similar Then The Attachement, How Can I Find Out, What Was The Real Name From Attachement.
