I am wondering if there is a way to have posts containing certain preconfigured keywords (such as support, MCSE, etc.) appear not as just a plain word, but instead appear as a hyperlink to the preconfigured location.
For example, if someone in the forums posted the word support (just as an example), it might link them to a forums support page. Or if the word contact was posted, it might link them to the forums contact page.

Can't you do that with replacements?

Yep you sure can! And to explain to him HOW he can do that:
In the AdminCP:
Go to the Styles & Templates, go to the link Replacement Variable Manager, hit [Add New Replacement Variable] and just fill in what you want replaced with what. :)

Right, but in doing so you have NO control over where the replacement occurs. So if for example, I used the word "Survivor" and I wanted that to hyperlink to "http://www.cbs.com/primetime/survivor8/index.shtml" it would do the replacement each and every time the word appeared. Now in the body of a post, this is cool...but in a thread title or other places, thus causes problems.
So I suppose my question should have been more specifically...within the post data itself, can this be done?

That would require a hack, yes.

Well, I'm hoping that someone can help me to figure that out then. It would a great extension to the replacement variables feature. :)
